Kauran Namoda Community, Businessman, Clash Over Power Substation  By Aminu Abubakar Mayanchi  A community group in Kauran Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State has challenged the alleged private development of land housing a power substation, saying the facility is critical to electricity supply in the area and neighbouring local government areas. The dispute has resulted in a court case involving Abdurrazak Bello Kaura, Publicity Secretary of the Kaura Namoda Focus Forum and a veteran of the Kauran Namoda Youths Supreme Council. A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Gusau, Zamfara State on Wednesday adjourned the case until October 6, 2026, for ruling following arguments by the parties. Kaura, who spoke after the proceedings, said the disputed facility was originally established as a powerhouse by the Rural Electrification Board (REB) before Kauran Namoda was connected to the national grid in 1996. The government, in a statement, reaffirmed its total obedience to and respect for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his parents, household and companions. It also urged the people of the state to continue to demonstrate love, respect and compassion towards the Prophet (PBUH).
